I remember after the end of episode 18 of Kill la Kill when it was revealed that Satsuki and Ryuko were sisters and half of the fandom immediately began to abandon ship. Meanwhile, the other half of the fandom just sat there calmly like “we’re 18 episodes in, it’s too late for us, bring on the trash ship.”
